Jose Mourinho takes a tumble at ice hockey match

Jose Mourinho may have hoped the slip-ups were behind him after leaving Old Trafford - but he's suffered an unfortunate tumble at an ice hockey game in Russia.

Organisers rolled out the red carpet for the former Manchester United boss, who was invited to drop the puck at the start of the game between SKA vs Avangard.

After the face-off he turned around to walk back off the ice, but lost his footing and fell over.

Mourinho had to be helped back to his feet by Pavel Datsyuk - and he embraced the legendary Russian player before showing off a smile, refusing to let the fall ruin his big moment.

It is not the first time he has taken a tumble in public. He slipped over outside Wembley when he was on his way to watch England's Nations League defeat by Spain.

Mourinho has largely kept a low profile since being sacked as United boss in December.

But he agreed to do some promotional work for the Russian ice hockey team in Balashikha, a town near Moscow.
